Although he is a recognised world resistance figure who even inspired Dr Martin Luther King’s Civil Rights movement, Gandhi’s resistance ideology during his time in South Africa was not based on a non-racial, all inclusive philosophy. In Gandhi’s own words, he believed Africans were inferior.
